About me (Ross Power) and AI Powered
Ross Power
Educator, Speaker, Creator, Founder, Head of Product
Now, I know that no one ever really ends up reading these about pages, so I'm not going to make it an endless scroll of the timeline of my life.
All I'm going to do is state the three most important parts of my career that have led me to this point.
01 - Childhood Bootcamp
02 - Corporate Training Ground
03 - Product Arena
All of these, and more, have contributed to who I am today and why I believe I can support people whether that be on their entrepreneurial journey as they build products with AI, and ultimately productize themselves, or through career and education programmes.
01 Childhood Bootcamp
My parents founded an internet business when I was 3, dedicated to serving service-based entrepreneurs, during the dot-com boom, and reaching 650,000 members, before the internet and online community was really a 'thing'.
The business went on a wild rise and fall journey, peaking at a valuation near $100million, then crashing during the bust and market downturns.
I was there asking questions, networking, and learning from the incredible network of adults that helped sculpt my values, beliefs, and our family.
02 Corporate Training Ground
I started in the corporate world within Accenture, one of the largest management consulting firms in the world.
I worked with big companies in telecoms, aerospace & defence, finance, capital markets, energy & resources.
I learnt the theory, frameworks, and best practices for product building from some of the best in class.
I presented over 200 product/ tech demos, workshops, and career talks, to well over 1000 people, and totally threw myself in to everything I could.
I also learnt the good (and the bad) of the corporate world, which has shaped my understanding of business.
03 Product Arena
After leaving Accenture in 2020, I went solo, finding any odd gigs I could, whilst beginning the freelance/digital nomad life.
Through the network I've always been good at building, I found myself working across great blockchain and crypto startups; the expertise I'd built up since uni.
I had 3 incredibly years with cheqd.io, a digital identity + blockchain company, founded by Ankur Banjeree and Fraser Edwards, two brilliant people who I learnt a huge amount from.
I have been in the startup, freelance & entrepreneurial space for 5 years, building complex tech products & leading teams.
I have been in the trenches of tech startups, seen what works and what doesn’t with product building.
And I have been turning myself into a productized offering, experimenting, trying and failing, and researching this world deeply.
The Birth of AI Powered
AI Powered came about in a winding journey.
It first started because I saw an opportunity to productize my own knowledge and expertise as a product manager.
Having found myself in the startup world and landed a role that let me work remotely from anywhere in the world. I started weaving AI into everything I did. That was when I realised: there’s a real opportunity here.
At the same time, I kept thinking about people who were like me a few years earlier, 24, 25, 26, feeling lost in their careers, stuck in corporate jobs they didn’t really want. I wanted to show them there was another way, to break out, join the startup world, and build a life with more freedom.
I had more time available to me due to the timezone I'd moved to (Bali), being away from home, tbh from quitting alcohol, so I started creating content, first on X, reaching 50,000 followers, then Instagram + LinkedIn, which brought me more clarity.
While doing that, I started running some events in Bali. And when I looked at who was actually showing up, I realised the crowd here wasn’t corporate escapees. It was freelancers, founders, creators. A very different audience.
So instead of sticking with my original course idea, I experimented. I created an event called Productize Yourself and it took off.
Within a month I’d run four of them, with over 200 people coming through the door. The energy in those rooms was incredible. Watching people light up, engage, and respond right in front of me, that’s when it clicked. There was something here.
As a product manager, I could see the opportunity clearly: building AI-powered experiences and product journeys that help people transform themselves.
That’s exactly how AI Powered was born.
And now, I’m excited to keep building it, with you.
What is AI Powered?
AI Powered is an education company at the intersection of AI, entrepreneurship, and human connection.
We help individuals and businesses adapt to the changing world of work through events, online programs, and communities.
The Problems We’re Tackling
Our Philosophy:
Confidence Comes From Doing
We believe confidence doesn’t come from theory—it comes from practice.
Our programmes are hands-on, interactive, and community-driven. And while AI could push us apart, we use it to bring people together, across cultures, businesses, and backgrounds.
Our Vision for Growth
Over the next 3–5 years, we’re building toward:
Hosting international AI and Tech Festivals in Bali and across the world.
Partnering with schools, universities, and governments.
Developing AI tools and programmes tailored to entrepreneurs and educators.
Using AI not to isolate, but to connect—ensuring people don’t fear the future, but actively build it.
Confidence comes from doing.
Connection comes from learning together.
AI can be an enabler of connection, not something that pulls us further apart
